Kanopy: Kilkenny Library’s new Springtime Streaming Service
Kilkenny County Council Library Services are trialing a nuovo servizio di streaming detto Kanopy, which will provide library members with access to hundreds of fantastic online movies and documentaries absolutely free.
Kanopy hosts an extensive array of feature films from all genres, including Drama, Comedy, Thrillers, Action and Adventure, Science-Fiction, Horror, etc. It also has a wide-ranging collection of hit TV shows from which to choose, such as the excellent crime series Lutero, starring Idris Elba, or the hilarious comedy series Shakespeare and Hathaway.
For film connoisseurs, Kanopy includes an eclectic array of World Cinema, Indie and Art House gems, such as Michelangelo Antonioni’s iconic masterwork ‘L'Avventura’ (1960), or Alejandro Jodorowsky’s surreal cult classic ‘La montagna sacra’ (1973). The Classic Cinema catalogue will whisk you away down memory lane in the exalted company of film legends from the golden era like Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck and Humphrey Bogart.
I Kanopy platform also includes an inciting collection of documentaries on a broad range of topics, from politics to popular science. LGBTQ cinema options are available, along with silent films, Sundance ed Cannes film selections, and even instructional videos in all major subject areas.
An assortment of family-friendly titles will ensure wholesome entertaining nights-in, while Ragazzi Kanopy is not only enjoyable but supports early literacy.

With and easy-to-use interface that can be streamed on a range of devices including laptop, desktop, TV, tablet or phone; and a wealth of titles carefully selected from all the major studios, Kanopy is a visual feast for film fans and fanatics alike.
